Animal Encounters
Getting up close to a koala is not the only animal encounter available at Alma Park Zoo!
We have a number close encounter experiences available were you are able to spend some time with Marmosets, Red Pandas, Lemurs, Snakes, Crocodiles and Alligators!
Even if you miss out on booking an encounter, you can always get up close and personal with our Kangaroos, Wallabies and Emus in their walk through enclosures or feed Fallow Deer and Tahrs.

Bookings
Some animal experiences are very popular and exclusive, so you must book prior to visiting Alma. This applies to the following animals:
- Aussie Discovery Encounter (Tailored experience with four native Australian Animals)
- Red Pandas
- Lemurs
- Marmosets
Online booking forms are available on all Animal Encounter pages that require bookings prior to visiting the Zoo.
Ticket Purchase on the Day – Souvenir Photos
Souvenir photos also provide you with an opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Alma’s Animals. Souvenir photos at Alma Park Zoo do not require booking before coming to the Zoo. Tickets are available on the day of your visit from our Palm Cafe for the following animals:
