What time are you open?

Alma Park Zoo is open 9am to 4pm everyday.

Excluding Christmas Day (25 December) 


Where are you?

Alma Park Zoo is located approximately 30 minutes north of the Brisbane CBD.  Exit 138 (Narangba exit) off the Bruce Highway.  Travelling south from the Sunshine Coast allow 40 minutes travelling time.  Once you have taken exit 138 Alma Park Zoo is only a few minutes drive away.


Where to see Koalas in Brisbane?

At Alma Park Zoo we have two koala exhibits, our Zoo Keeper talks and presentations are also held throughout the day and you have the opportunity to learn all sorts of interesting facts about one of Australia's Icon's. 


Can you cuddle a Koala?

Alma Park Zoo has animal experiences available where you can cuddle a Koala, hold a snake or even a baby crocodile.  These are pre-purchased on the day at our Palm Cafe and include a photo as a memento.

Can we bring our own food?

Yes, we provide numerous picnic lawns and free BBQ facilities for your enjoyment.


How long should I allow to visit Alma Park Zoo?

We suggest allowing 3-4 hours to enjoy our Zoo, giving you time to see our exhibits, attend our Keeper Talks & Presentations and enjoy some lunch.  Although we have many guests that love to stay all day.


Do you have shows?

Yes, our Zoo Keeper Talks and Presentations are held throughout the day allowing you the opportunity to learn more about them.

Can I take my own photos?

There are many opportunities to take your own photos.


Can we bring food from home for the animals?

Absolutely Not !!!  Special animal food is available from the Zoo.  Any other foods ie bread, lollies, fruit even hot dogs will affect the animals well-being. 


Can we drop the kids off and let them visit the Zoo by themselves?

It is a condition of entry that all children under the age of sixteen years shall be accompanied by adults who shall be solely responsible for their conduct and safety while on the Zoo premises.
